Something which I think far too many Christians do is to focus heavily on grace and assign responsibility a back seat. We have to understand that, when we accepted God’s offer of salvation, we committed ourselves to a covenant with Him wherein we promised to give Him the place of Lord of our lives. Consequently, with that covenant comes responsibilities, both on our part as well as on His. But, if we allow ourselves to get to the place of complacency, the enemy can find a way to deceive us into believing that we can forego our responsibilities. God, however, will ultimately judge that spirit; but He’ll also judge us because of our allegiance to it.
